Why is the Mexican Bajio Booming with Economic Development

I was in Celaya Guanajuato this past summer and couldn’t help but see all the progress and businesses located in the Bajio Area. I saw a booming Asian community in Silao, Guanajuato, large car manufacturing plants throughout the bajio and many other businesses.

When I returned home I researched to try to figure out why the Bajio Area was booming and I found many reasons but this video explains it way better. It specifically talks about Celaya but it’s really regarding the entire bajio region because everything is interconnected.

So the reasons I gathered for this huge boom are abundant labor pool, access to the 3 major ports, railroad connectivity and it’s in the middle of the golden triangle between Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey.

Anyone here been to or live in the Bajio Area that’s noticed this as well?
