This is the pila it is natural cantera rock water tank. The fresh water naturally runs out from the side of the mountain and is piped into this holding tank. It’s naturally filtered by the rocks, sand and contains all essential minerals the body needs according to a government sanctioned water test conducted on this particular manantial.
This water is used for cooking and drinking and is the sweetest water I’ve ever tasted. I actually take my own gallons and fill them up every time I go.
The only way to carry the water is in buckets and yes sometimes people send their kids but believe me these little girls were having lots of fun getting wet and just being kids.
